So cute! great macro, the yellow background really works with it too, usually the backgrounds are all different and you dont get to see the details.

Whats Good About It: This is an excellent shot! I can't begin to imagine how hard it would be to capture insects on film and I am so impressed you captured somethign as fast as a dragonfly! Well done, The focus is excellent, I really like how the wings are blurry and the yellow in the background its so clean and simple and it really brings out the dragonfly to full effect. Overall this shot is really good, you've captured a special moment on camera and because of the shape and contours of the dragonfly the photo works really well compositionally, a great effort!

Whats Not So Good About It/What Can You Do To Improve: I'd really like to see you change that metal bar that the dragonfly is standing on, it seems to yellow to me and I don;t think it compliments your shot at all. One thing you could do is use the Lasso/Selection tool in Photoshop and just select along the creamy yellow bar but curve up so it bisects the tail and reaches the top. This selection should look like the bottom right quarter of a 'U' and make sure everything to the bottom left is selected it should look like this > Link . After that, right click and feather to about 15 pixels and then go to 'Image > Adjustments > Auto Color' and your creamy bar will turn into a nice white colour. Fantastic shot and a really good try, keep up the good work!
